Spend less time compounding and less risk of defects by using 5000-grade 3M™ Trizact™ Hookit™ Foam Abrasive Sheets. Use these sheets as the next step to refine 3000-grade scratches, to reduce compounding. 3M™ Trizact™ abrasives are engineered for consistent cut and long life.
Technicians can spend less time managing a heavy polisher while delivering a fine, consistent finish by using 5000-grade 3M™ Trizact™ Hookit™ Foam Abrasive Sheets for paint finishing.
Use 3M™ Trizact™ 5000 foam sheets for refining 3000-grade sand scratches on painted surfaces and clearcoats. Used damp, they deliver the anti-loading benefits of wet sanding without the productivity-reducing hydroplaning, which can happen when power sanding on overly wet surfaces.
The foam backing provides plenty of control and consistent contact with the surface – great for preserving orange peel. Can be used with a soft interface pad for added conformability over curved surfaces.
Their patented three-dimensional abrasive structures wear to reveal fresh, sharp mineral - continuously refreshing the abrasive so it delivers a fast cut and long life.
When used with other 3M™ Trizact™ abrasive grades and a 3M™ Perfect-It™ Paint Finishing system, they can reduce overall polishing time.
Refines 3000-grade sand scratches, helping to reduce the need for aggressive compounding and lower overall paint finishing time
Reduces time needed for compounding, helping to prevent heavy swirl marks, burn-through, and other defects caused by more aggressive processes
A foam backing helps ensure proper control and consistent contact with the surface — great for preserving orange peel; use this sheet damp for longer life and less loading than dry sanding
Allows technicians to use lighter orbital sanders for longer, rather than heavier polishers — as well as requiring less buffing time
The 3M™ Trizact™ 3-dimensional mineral abrasive structures are uniformly distributed with multiple layers, meaning that as the structures wear, fresh, sharp mineral is exposed to keep the results consistent
This sheet is part of the 3M™ Perfect-It™ Paint Finishing System and pairs with a variety of Perfect-It™ Brand products to create a range of solutions to deliver fast, defect-free results
Utilizes a hook and loop-style Hookit™ backing that firmly connects the sheet while eliminating the dust and debris contamination that adhesive-backed abrasives can suffer from
Available in 3-, 5-, and 6-inch diameter discs as well as 2 3/4 x 5 1/2-inch sheets.
