The 3M Advanced Particulate Filter 2296, P100, with Nuisance* level Acid Gas Relief helps provide respiratory protection against exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, and MDA. Designed to make breathing easier while lasting longer. NIOSH approved for environments containing certain oil and non-oil based particles and can be used as a prefilter for certain chemical exposures. 3M recommended for relief against nuisance* level acid gases. Use with 3M Reusable Respirators 5000 Series or 3M Cartridge 6000 Series with 3M Adapter 502, or 3M Half and Full Facepieces 6000, 7000 and FF 400 Series with bayonet filter holders. When properly selected and fitted, use in a variety of applications such as grinding, sanding and welding for concentrations up to 10 times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces or 50 times PEL with full facepieces when quantatively fit tested. Warning: Respirators help protect against certain airborne contaminants. Before use, the wearer must read and understand the User Instructions provided as a part of the product packaging. Follow all local regulations. In the U.S., a written respiratory protection program must be implemented meeting all the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 including training, fit testing and medical evaluation. In Canada, CSA standards Z94.4 requirements must be met and/or requirements of the applicable jurisdiction, as appropriate. Misuse may result in sickness or death. For correct use, consult supervisor and User Instructions, or call 3M Personal Safety Division (PSD) Technical Service in the U.S.A. at 1-800-243-4630. In Canada, call 1-800-267-4414. Disclaimer: 3M industrial and occupational products are intended, labeled, and packaged for sale to trained industrial and occupational customers for workplace use. Unless specifically stated otherwise on the applicable product packaging or literature, these products are not intended, labeled, or packaged for sale to or use by consumers (e.g., for home, personal, primary or secondary school, recreational/sporting, or other uses not described in the applicable product packaging or literature), and must be selected and used in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations and standards (e.g., U.S. OSHA, ANSI), as well as all product literature, user instructions, warnings, and other limitations, and the user must take any action required under any recall, field action, or other product use notice. Misuse of 3M industrial and occupational products may result in injury, sickness, or death. For help with product selection and use, consult your on-site safety professional, industrial hygienist, or other subject matter expert. *3M recommended for relief against nuisance levels of organic vapors and acid gases. Nuisance level organic vapor and acid gas refers to concentrations not exceeding OSHA PEL or applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower.

  • NIOSH approved for environments containing certain oil and non-oil based particles. These include mining, shipbuilding, abatement, and utilities. 3M recommended for relief against nuisance* level acid gas.
  • USE WITH 3M 5000 Series Respirators or 3M Gas and Vapor Cartridges 6000 Series (with Adaptor 502) which are approved for use with 3M Half Facepiece 6000, 6500 and 7500 Series or 3M Full Facepiece 6000, FF-400 or 7800S Series.
  • These cartridge/filters can help reduce inhalation exposures to certain airborne biological particles (e.g. mold, Bacillus anthracis, avian influenza, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, etc.) but cannot eliminate the risk of contracting infection, illness or disease.
  • EASY BREATHING: 3M's Advanced Electret Filter Media efficiently captures particles in 3 layers of filtration, compared to 5 layers in traditional filters. Fewer layers makes breathing easier while offering the same level of protection.
  • RUGGED DURABILITY: The netting construction technology increases durability for a longer lasting filter.
  • EASY TWIST ON AND OFF: Bayonet connection twist on and off easily for quick assembly and disassembly with many 3M half and full facepiece designs.
  • For industrial/occupational use only. Not for consumer sale or use.
